You can now turn your blog from yourblog.islamicink.com to yourblog.com. Nothing changes except your blog address and all links are automatically forwarded to the new address properly just like WordPress.com. This will cost you a one time fee of 10.00 GBP.

Here are steps:

1. You have to first buy a domain name from any web hosting company if you haven’t already.
2. Once you and your domain name are ready, contact us to tell us that you want your own domain ( also send us your username and blog address).
3. Send us payment of 10.00 GBP (one time fee).
4. We will send you instructions on how to change your domain name settings.
5. Contact us once you’ve done step 4.
6. We will configure IslamicInk as soon as possible.
7. That’s it! We will send you a confirmation email.

Your new domain name should start working with your blog within 24 hours however this can be more or less depending on your domain provider and if it’s a newly registered name.

We have updated our theme and backend and made a nice new global feed for all the site’s activity. We were supposed to update everything before IslamicNature but we thought we’ll do it backwards and give you a peak to what IslamicNature’s theme and services will look like. We have just added a new plugin, well it was there before and a few people knew about it, well the final version is out and has been added to the plugins list.

It is called “theVerse”, when you activate it go to Settings > theVerse and select what language you want to link to to, the default it English.

What it does is that if you type in this code (Surah Al-Fatihah 1:1) or (Surah Al-Fatihah 1:1-3) it will be converted to (Surah Al-Fatihah 1:1) and (Surah Al-Fatihah 1:1-3) respectively. No it doesnt just change the text, it get created into a link which links to the corresponding verse on iKnowledge.islamicnature.com.
